The critical task of structural engineers is to ensure that the buildings, bridges and other structures which our society makes use of on a daily basis, are structurally sound and ultimately remain so for their useful service life, under many different loading conditions. Some would say this is a routine task with little room for creativity or innovative thinking. However, we are convinced that an important part of what we do for our clients is to critically examine our designs, at the conceptual stage in particular, but also throughout design development, to ensure that the end product will simply be the best possible solution to meet our client’s needs.

We use the latest applicable structural design codes and we research and assess new construction materials and products as they are developed and improved. Our experience, over more than 25 years of practice, comprises all materials and types including reinforced and prestressed concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber structures. Three-dimensional, finite element analysis and other structural design software applications are used, where applicable, to maximize our productivity and to produce cost efficient structures.

We have incorporated Building Information Modeling (BIM) as an effective design tool in many of our projects. Using the Autodesk Revit software platform, has allowed us to produce a project database model which leads to better team coordination and improved accuracy.
